The CitySmart Program provides complimentary support to participating schools through a combination of tools and services, described below, for participants who complete projects resulting in peak electric demand savings. The CitySmart Program is designed to help schools identify energy efficiency opportunities in existing and newly planned facilities and provide monetary incentives to implement these projects. The program is funded by Texas-New Mexico Power and is offered at no cost to participants. CitySmart is a voluntary program that offers objective, third party consulting on best practices in the areas of energy usage and energy efficiency. Please note that no products or services are sold through the CitySmart Program. TNMP partners with CLEAResult to implement the program.

Earn $165/kW for lighting, HVAC, roofing and other renovation, new construction and maintenance projects that reduce peak electric demand.

Based on the participant's needs, the CitySmart Program will provide customized energy efficiency solutions using the following tools and services:

• Energy Performance Benchmarking for existing campuses.
• Energy Master Planning Workshops allow financial and facilities personnel to learn industry best practices and determine where best to focus short and long term resources.
• Technical Assistance to help identify and evaluate energy efficiency opportunities.
• Communications Support to help publicize the partner's leadership and accomplishments in energy efficiency.

1. Program Enrollment
• Download and sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or MOU Addendum for existing participants.
• Mail or email the MOU or MOU Addendum to the address on the document.
2. Needs Assesment
• A program representative will contact you to help identify your needs.
3. Submit Project Applications
• Download and complete the Project Application Form
• Mail or email the Project Application Form to the address indicated on the form
